Welcome to the Office of Women's Health

The Office of Women’s Health (OWH) at Wayne State University was created to improve the health of women, in particular underrepresented minority women, throughout their lives.

We aim to identify and address racial and ethnic disparities in women’s health care.

If we do not optimize the health, education, and success of minority women, the long-term economic and educational impact will be detrimental to the community.

In order to positively affect women’s health, efforts must be more than many separate projects, but a movement.

A successful movement in women’s health will not only empower women, but can propel them to a bigger and brighter future for themselves and their families.

Now we must work together to empower the women of our future to be the best and strongest versions of themselves.
