Danay Lacey, a Detroit native, is a Health Equity Specialist at the Wayne State Office of Women's Health. She focuses on improving maternal and infant health through interventions aimed at reducing preeclampsia and preterm birth, collaborating with local organizations to provide essential resources to pregnant women at no cost. Throughout her career, Danay has focused on coordinating with healthcare stakeholders and promoting health literacy. She actively contributes to all of the Office of Women's Health projects including Make Your Date in Your Neighborhood, Well Women Wednesdays initiative, and SOS Maternity in MI. Her advocacy work highlights her commitment to improving the well-being of underserved communities as well as providing personalized care and support through the pregnancy. Guided by her favorite quote, "Be the change you want to see," Danay continues to build on her strong foundation in public health and research, striving to improve maternal and infant health outcomes for vulnerable populations across Michigan.
